Is there a patron saint of window cleaners? If there is it must of been looking out for this guy!

The window cleaner fell and his safety line didn't catch. He bounced off a small roof and landed on the gound. He broke a bone in his foot and cut his leg.

Couple weds at Taco Bell

I have to say the people quoted in this story seem to think it's a great idea to get married in Taco Bell. I'll consider it for my next wedding (don't tell my current wife though!).

"Wedding bells meant Taco Bell for Paul and Caragh Brooks.

Customers inside the fast-food restaurant continued to order tacos and burritos as the couple sat Friday in an orange booth at Taco Bell and exchanged vows."

Ore. woman, 88, gives naked intruder's package the 'squeeze'

An 88-year-old woman fended off a naked intruder by grabbing the man's crotch and squeezing after he attacked her.

I'm glad that, at 88, she still had the presence of mind to fight back. He deserves all the discomfort he got!

Bees Head for Freedom

"Excuse me officer, I've lost some bees".

"How many did you lose?"

"About 8-12 million."

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Millions of swarming honey bees are on the loose after a truck carrying crates of the insects flipped over on a California highway.

The California Highway Patrol says 8-to-12 million bees escaped Sunday from the crates in which they were stored and swarmed over an area of Highway 99 and stung officers, firefighters and tow truck drivers trying to clear the accident.

CHP Officer Michael Bradley says a tractor trailer flipped over while entering the highway on its way to Yakima, Wash. The flatbed was carrying bee crates each filled with up to 30,000 bees.

Katie Laibstain, 23, and Steven Jones, 39, create outfits from bikinis to party dresses out of nothing but modelling balloons twisted together.

And, even though each dress can be worn only once, they have sold some of their more elaborate designs for as much as £1,000.

Katie, of Richmond, Virginia, said: "Balloon clothes are ultra chic. They are the finest couture available. My dresses contain 300 or more balloons, depending on the design.

"They may not always be easy to get into, but there are so many creative ways to take them off - pop, pop, pop!"

Turtle Goes 13,000 Miles to Breed

I've been desperate in the past, but not THAT desperate!

clipped from news.yahoo.com

BANGKOK, Thailand - A leatherback turtle has been tracked swimming from the coast of the Papua province in Indonesia to Oregon, researchers said, in what may be the longest trip for marine vertebrae between breeding and feeding sites.

In this photo released by World Wildlife Fund, a leatherback turtle fitted with a satellite tracking device heads for the sea on July 25, 2003, on a remote beach in Indonesia's Papua province. Scientists tracked a leatherback turtle that swam from Indonesia to the U.S. in an epic 20,000-kilometer (13,000-mile) journey as it searched for food, research they hope will boost international efforts to save the endangered species. (AP Photo/World Wildlife Fund, N.J.Tangkepayung)

"This is an animal perfectly suited for doing this kind of journey," said Scott Benson, research fishery biologist for the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service, who helped track the turtle and presented details of the journey at a sea turtle symposium last month.

The longest distance of nine turtles tagged in 2003, Benson said, was the leatherback that reached Oregon and then headed to Hawaii before the battery on the satellite transmitter gave out. The 12,774-mile journey took 647 days, he said.

Lost Cat Turns Up in Texas

Lucky the suitcase didn't get lost!

A missing cat was found 1300 miles away after it crawled into a suitcase.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The last time cat-owner Kelly Levy saw her tiger-striped feline was before she took her husband to the airport. The 24-year-old came back to her house late Friday to find the bottom step, where Gracie Mae would usually be waiting, empty.

Seth Levy, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. holds his 10 month old cat, Gracie Mae at home in Palm Beach Gardens, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008. The cat sneaked into Seth's suitcase for a flight to Dallas/Ft. Worth and landed in Texas. At baggage claim, another passenger mistakenly grabbed the suitcase and when he returned home Gracie Mae jumped out. The traveller brought Gracie Mae back to her owner for a return flight back home, and she is doing fine. (AP Photo/Sun-Sentinel, Rhonda Vanover)

"Hi, you're not going to believe this, but I am calling from Fort Worth, Texas, and I accidentally picked up your husband's luggage. And when I opened the luggage, a cat jumped out," Levy recalled the caller saying, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

Gracie Mae had crawled into Seth Levy's black suitcase undetected, been put through an X-ray machine, loaded onto an airplane, thrown onto a baggage claim conveyor belt and picked up by a stranger.

Carter delivered Gracie Mae to Seth Levy and the tabby made the 1,300-mile trip home on an $80 plane ticket Sunday night.
